I have Asus eeepc that is 32-bit only, that I installed Linux onto on 
notice that 32bit is not supported for illumos for the future.
I think it is interesting idea to keep 32-bit supported for subset, 
server packages and not all,
but I accepted that 64bit is desired and supported main platform.

Only thing that could not be abandoned is ability to auto-select both 
binaries and kernel on install and to have ability to support more then 
one architecture bitness, and that fits right into supported application 
subset idea.
