Yes, I feel the same way.  That article seems to have been written by
someone who is too close to the code, and who knows all the
mathematics that's behind it.  Fortunately, ordinary people can skip
over the complex parts.

At least it does provide the names of the variables and possible
values for them.  That's really all that's needed to experiment
with some of the variables.
