Hi Tony,

Many thanks for the links.

I can fortunately report that "format" reports correctly for the 8tb
drives.

The SMR drives stopped at 6TB, and WD faced a bit of criticism over
their decision to ship those in their RED lineup, so I'm not expecting
these to be the issue in this case as these are 8Tb.
