[OpenIndiana-discuss] php MySQL extension issue

Hi,

Does the installer allow using mysql from a remote host? If so use that 
and use localhost:3306 as target. Also be sure the SMF service is 
started. you can scheck with the `svcs` utility. use `svcs -a` to see al 
services.
